Stage lighting design uses color light to cooperate with performances to create a stage atmosphere, which is a complex artistic creation process. This process reflects the designer's artistic accomplishment and technical experience. Performances with different contents and forms have different lighting designs, and there are almost no fixed methods and techniques. The content of this article is mainly for beginners to refer to when creating lighting design, so as to enrich the conception and practice of design.
1. The use of single color light Single color light means that only one color light is used in the performance area to form the lighting atmosphere required by the performance. According to the requirements of creation, either cool color light or warm color light can be used. The biggest feature of using a single color light is that the light color is relatively bright, and there will be no dilution or change between the color lights.
In the performance scheduling of drama and dance, sometimes a single color light is used to highlight a group of shapes that need to be expressed. For example, in drama performances, medium blue light or light green light is often used to express night or dawn. During dance performances, a single color light is often used to set off the strong lighting atmosphere of group dances, and it is constantly changing with the mood and rhythm of the dance to enhance the performance atmosphere of the stage.
When using a single color light, the light and shade are generally not emphasized. If a slight difference between light and shade is required, various methods can be adopted, such as more lights on one side and fewer lights on the other side; if the lights on both sides are the same, you can use them on the other side Yarn addition; can also use the control system to slightly darken the lightness on one side. 2. The use of the same color light The same color light refers to a group of color lights that are basically similar in hue but different in concentration. For example, blue has medium blue, green blue, bright blue, light blue, sky blue, etc.; pink has orange pink, brilliant pink, pink, light pink, etc.
Lighting design uses the same color light to create a lighting atmosphere, mainly using their differences in brightness and color perception to form light and dark levels on the stage. If bright pink light is used on the stage, and pink light is used on the side of the entrance door, the lighting effect formed in this way will have a certain difference between light and dark on the basis of pink tones. Furthermore, we can use the same color light to highlight the local performance area. In the performance area with medium blue light, use light blue to project the local performance area with the side lights on both sides of the proscenium. The difference in brightness makes the local area stand out.
According to different needs, other "blues" can also be used, such as bright blue light, sky blue light, etc. In the position of the lamps and lanterns, you can choose the backlight, the bridge light on both sides, the top light at the entrance, etc. according to the arrangement of the characters and the position of the scene. The change of parts can obtain different light and shadow effects.
3. Application of the same color light The same color light refers to the same cool color light or the same warm color light. Commonly used cool colors include medium blue, green blue, bright blue, bright blue, sky blue, light sky blue, dark green, medium green, light green, bright green, purple, light purple, green lotus, etc.; warm colors include bright red, red , Brilliant Rose, Deep Peach, Brilliant Peach, Deep Orange, Orange Red, Golden Orange, Golden Amber, Light Right After, Golden, Medium Golden, etc. Use the medium blue light in the cold light as the basic color light, and use the medium green light on the side of the door to create the feeling of being under the moonlight at night.
If you want to enhance the brightness of the front, you can change the front light to sky blue or lighter medium blue. If the light amber in the warm color light is used as the basic color light, and the red light is used on the side of the entrance door, a relatively prosperous atmosphere can be formed. When using colored light to create an atmosphere, one must grasp the relationship between the light and shadow effect of colored light, the position of the lamp, and the brightness of the colored light.
The entire stage is covered with orange-red light, and a golden backlight is projected to the front of the stage at a later part of the stage. In this way, the golden backlight of the characters in the performance area is very vivid. If the parts of these two kinds of color light are exchanged, the backlight of the orange-red light on the figure will appear dim. Only by increasing the light quantity of the lamps and strong orange-red light can a more vivid backlight and shadow be obtained. 4. Use of contrasting shades Contrasting shades refer to the contrast between cool shades and warm shades.
In use, cool-colored light and warm-colored light are projected on the characters or scenery in the performance area from different directions. Due to the contrast and contrast of the colored light, a relatively strong colored light effect can be obtained.
